Born on February 9, 1723, in Agra, India, Mir is considered one of the greatest poets in the history of Urdu literature. He is often referred to as "Khuda-e-Sukhan" (God of Poetry) for his mastery of the Urdu language and his profound contributions to ghazal poetry.
